Q. What camera, lens & EQUIPMENT do you use?

A. I use a Canon 6d and use Canon lenses, 50 mm|1.4 & 24-70 mm|2.8. I also use a Manfrotto 190 tripod for any photos of myself or my hands.

Q. what do you use for post-editing?

A. I use Adobe Lightroom to do all of my editing. I do use a de-saturated VSCO filter on Instagram only just to keep my feed colour looking consistent and unified.

Q. where did you learn photography?

A. I am self-taught. Growing up and all throughout high-school I was always the one with the camera, taking photos of everyone and stock piling printed memories. When I first started my blog in 2014 I did so with my iPhone {the first year my photos were no where near Instagram worthy}, once I started to really get into blogging I decided that I needed to step up my photography game big timeI borrowed a DSLR camera from my best friends brother, took one evening beginner photography class at a local college, read a whole lot of books, studied some of my favourite bloggers work and started shooting.

Q. where do you get all your props?

A. Most of my props are from local thrift & vintage stores. I love using old, vintage, rustic elements in my styling as I believe it helps evoke that special homey feeling in someone, which is what I strive for, home, nest, comfort & ease. I also like to buy local makers ceramics. There is always that good feeling when you support someone local, doing their creative thang!

q. do you teach workshops? Do you have an online course?

A. I do teach workshops! You can find any upcoming ones under my workshops tab here. I am in the process of building an online food photography & styling course that I hope to have out in the Fall 18' so keep checking this space for that. Until then I would love see you at one of my in person workshops! You can also sign up for my monthly newsletter here and receives my FREE "10 sure-fire ways to grow your Instagram" e-book.
